Anyone ever have the bushing in the pump push forward into the seal causing trans to leak fluid? If so is there a reason for it or is there a fix for it?? We've had it happen twice in last couple years.

I can't see what in the Bruno would push the bushing forward. It has to be caused by the converter pump shaft. How does converter pump shaft llook? Is it scored? We use a smear of blue loctite on the bushing when we replace them. Have you called Bruno and asked him?

No never called him yet but converter is perfect no marks on it never tried loctite on it maybe that's the answer. We have ran the Bruno for 6 years and this is second time it's done it other then that no problems with it.

Do you check the runout of the flex plate and converter on the engine before installing the trans ?

Yes rollout is good. This time when it did it we rolled a sprag in the lenco not sure is that had any thing to do with it.

    Bruno mod

If I missed anyone that wanted pics I'm sorry, send me another text or email. If anyone I have sent the pics to would care to post them for all to see please do, I have no issues with it, just not computer savvy for pics, lol
    Scott
Ps, I wish I had a buck for everyone that has wanted these pics, I would be a little closer on my overhaul after, after it broke a rod, the bell housing, etc, etc, lol.
I kid, I only kid, glad to help out and feel honored I had something to bring to this high level of racing community!

Let me add a couple of things, talked with Bruno about all and he says the only way that bushing can be pushed forward is if the run out of the converter snout is off. In other words you have a wobble or you line bored the main bearings and the alignment pins for the can are now off. If the bushing is pushing forward then something is causing it to happen. I also sent Bruno the picture showing the bushing being preened (if that is the right word) and he says he didn't see any problem in doing that to hold it.

Good point Mike, I agree, everything should be verified. As you said earlier in the post loctite is what I started with. I did talk to Bruno about it the first 2 times it happened as he advised me of the same thing (runout or crank hole is off of the bell). He advised me they do not even loctite them.
I checked that and double checked that without any luck. I had the Bruno on 3 different engines with 4-5 different Conv. I just found it to be a simple fix for the issue I was having. I know Bruno Jr ran a turbo deal but I assumed it was the heat from spooling the engine.
For the record, Im not knocking the Bruno at all, I still run it and have no intention of jumping ship to the turbo glide or anything else and have plenty of respect for Bruno.
    Best of luck guys
    Scott

    Bushing

Chrysler 727 and 904 have been doing that for years, and it works.I own a transmission shop and some imports also use the staking of the bushing.
