Brooks rods replacements

Has anyone come up with a replacement rod for the Brooks Fuel rod? I need something close to the same weight

 

You are probably going to have to re-balance. AJ was supposed to come up with a rod that is close to the Brooks in weight with the deep cycle material, but from I hear, they are not going to be done any time soon.

I also ran Brooks rods. After calling around, I did not find many rod makers who offered anything other than their own standard rod weights. Hussey said they could make new forged rods to match my old weights. I sent them the big end and the small end gram weights and ordered a set of forged rods from Hussey. They said they would be ready in about a week. You might try them. Ask for Brad.

Venolia makes a copy of the forged B2 rods

 

Same weight?

 

Just talked to Jerry at Venolia and he said they expect to have their replacement for the B2 starting after the beginning of the year. Pretty much the same rod, you just need to send in a sample of what you had before if you want it duplicated. Don't have a price for it, depends on what you need done.
