TA/FC Pilot Bret Williamson and Team Eagle Prepared to Soar in Vegas ​

Las Vegas 1 -- Campbell, California resident. race car fabricator and funny car driver Bret Williamson along with his Team Eagle / Beams Automotive Corvette Top Alcohol Funny Car Team are looking forward to their second outing of the 2008 Drag Racing Season event this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Williamson, who continually proves to be a strong running contender within the Magnificent Seven Pacific Division Alcohol Funny Car Class, looks to add to his trophy case this weekend at the Ninth annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals, the fifth of 24 events in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

"The Strip has always presented interesting data for us", explained Williamson. "We qualified here last year and we're hoping to change our luck at this race by qualifying and getting to Sunday's festivities. The weather forecast looks great all weekend, so we're looking forward to getting a solid base line on Friday and building from there ".

Williamson's Team Eagle / Beams Automotive funny car is one of the only manually shifted cars left in the alcohol class throughout the country and the only Hemi Powered Corvette entry at this event.

The SummitNationals.com NHRA Powerade Event in Las Vegas, kicks off on Friday, April 11th with two rounds of qualifying at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. for the Alcohol Class. Qualifying resumes on Saturday, April 12th, at 1:30 a.m. followed by first round of eliminations at 4:30 p.m. Final Eliminations begin on Sunday, 29th, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.
