Lewis looking for breakout race in Dallas

ENNIS, Texas – Following a disappointing first round loss at last weekend’s O’Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston, NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster driver Brandon Lewis and his family’s TigerFlow Systems/Morrison Construction backed team will be looking to have their ‘breakout’ race for the year at this weekend’s Division 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series opener at the Texas Motorplex just south of Dallas. Lewis and Crew Chief Joe Monden hope to find the elusive set up needed for their new chassis.

Lewis, 23, of Broken Arrow, Okla., cites the team will continue to tweak the combination until they find what their new Joe Monden chassis wants.

“We’re going to make some changes to the engine combination this weekend,” said Lewis. “We’re just going through a learning curve right now. We just have to keep changing things until we find what this car wants. I have faith in Joe and the team that we’ll get the car on the right track soon.”

The team will also host over 100 sales reps from sponsor TigerFlow Systems this weekend.

“This week was the national rep meeting for TigerFlow,” cited Lewis. “So we’re going to have over 100 TigerFlow reps at the track with Team TigerFlow this weekend. We’re really looking forward to it, and we’d love nothing more than to put them in the winner’s circle this weekend.”

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars followed by two more sessions on Saturday. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday.
