Booher to Open Divisional Season in Indy

After opening their season last month by qualifying 8th at the Gatornationals with career best numbers, Brandon Booher and the AB Construction Race Team are ready to get back out on the track this weekend at the Division 3 Lucas Oil Series opener in Indianapolis.

“It was a good weekend for us and a great way to start the season. We are looking forward to getting back out there again. We have everything ready to go and a new motor so we are hoping to go even quicker this weekend,” said Booher.

In his first race this year, the 27 year old piloted the brand new Spitzer dragster to a 5.44 second 260 mph pass, career best numbers and the second fastest and quickest pass ever with the unique Lencodrive/Coan Converter combination. He backed up those numbers with a 5.45 pass before a broken lifter ended the Team’s hopes for their first Wally.

“Spitzer built us a beautiful new dragster at the end of last season and in Gainesville those were our first passes with it. We think it is going to be a really good car and once we get some more laps on it and learn a little more about what the chassis wants, we should be able to step it up even more. Hopefully, we will be standing in the winner’s circle on Sunday evening.”

Qualifying for the race begins on Friday with one shot at 4 pm. On Saturday, competitors will have two more opportunities to try and make it into the 8 car field at 1 and 5 pm. Eliminations begin at noon on Sunday.

The Team would like to thank Snyder Motorsports, Lencodrive Racing Transmissions, Goodson, Stable Imaging, and Spitzer Race Cars for their continued support.
