Blown out blower gasket

In my top sportsman car, Saturday we lost in the third round. broke out by 2 hundredths on my fastest ever. as my car was just running faster and faster. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary afterwards getting the car ready for Sunday. when we warmed the car up sunday, we found we had pushed the front of the gasket underneath the blower out which is something I have not seen before. is there any specific reason this may have happened or something that just happens in time? we were able to change it out in a matter of about 15 minutes and get into our qualifying run in record time for us.
