Give Bill a call at Oddy's, he can help you as he used to tear up dirt... Real good guy.

You can mention Andy with 69 Camaro.

Are the Brodix heads cnc'd ports and chambers as good as Brodix can do, than have a good hand porting guy look at them to try and get a little more. That's what we do.

I don't think you are limited to conventional heads are you?

Big Chiefs pick up a lot of power and live good if you keep the rpm reasonable. Solid castings are getting rare but have little value.

If you want to stay with the conventional style head, I would use a Brodix 383cc runner. You can get them in a solid casting if needed. The 1802 Big Duke is a good option for a spread port Chevy, but a costly conversion. I'm a WD for Brodix and Dart. There are a couple things that will need to be changed for some of the higher flowing conventional heads to be used. Give me a call, Bill @ 337-543-2028

Its been my experience that the biggest HP gains for your dollar are in the blower and fuel system.

How about angle milling the heads to get a better combustion chamber (less ignition timing), of course the domes will have to be cut down (unless you want the extra compression) and the valve releifs probably have to be redone along with pushrod changes?
