Hey everyone out there that was thinking that blower cars were just gonna pulverize the 5.20s in good air and a good track what happened? Chicago is as good of track as you can get and the air according to our weatherstation the air was at 985 ft or so above sea level for a couple of runs and I didnt see any 20 passes for the blower cars. What was up with that? Sure did shoot a hole in the good air good track theory that was gonna even them up. Still was a tenth difference. Oh well evidently nobody seen it cause there was nothing on here about it. Maybe I am dreaming.

    Waffle House

Looks like someone ordered the Blown Cars at two different races (two different condtions) at the Waffle House, but the plate was still the same-

scattered smothered and covered by a tenth

hold the cheese.....would you like waffles with that?

    Whatever!!!!!

Whatever, Hot air in Topeka and blown cars dominated on sunday and won the event. Killer air in Chicago and once again a consistent blown car dominates on sunday. Except for a broken part in the final we may have had two blown wins in a row. So, quit whining and figure out how to make your blown car run like O'bannon's and this conversation would be over! This guy has a tremendous shot at the championship and people keep saying blown cars can't compete. What are you smoking. The funny thing is I bet a lot of the blown fans wish O'bannon wasn't so fast so their argument held water. He went 271 mph for god's sake! Let it go man. That means he's making killer power, if the early set up was right it would have been a 20 something.

bla bla bla, not everyone has that kind of money to blow up every run just to get close. the only reason a blown car was in the finals was others missed the tune up. If your going to say everyone else should get with the game and run like O'Bannon, then why not say every injected car should have run in the .20's, they just missed it... bla bla bla etc...bla bla bla

and just to add a little more, the only reason he got to the final was he out drove and injected driver! look at the numbers.

Wouda shouda couda didnt happen tho! I like how this works here if a nito car wins the blower car didnt work hard enough and if a blower car wins it was total domination. Look guys performance is performance. Injected cars went low 20s and blown low 30s INCLUDING Obannon this time. Yes he did get to the finals but bad lights by the injected drivers or missed tune ups dont mean the blowers went low 20s. Didnt happen. A tenth is a tenth no matter how you serve it. Come on Haley say something here!!!!

Oh Randy I did read that one I just meant at chicago where it was all gonna happen that the blower cars went as fast as the injected ones. Didnt mean to hijack the thread.

Ok, I think there were more 5.20's run by a/fuel cars in chicago this last race, than have ever been run by blown cars there.

    I say BAN those A/fuel cars. :D

    bottom line

Bottom line is in killer air no matter what people say there was a blown car in the final! He was not wrecking stuff like someone said, he (Grimes) just has a handle on the tune-up like a handfull of A-fuel cars do. So why punish the best tuners who have spent every waking minute on how to go faster. If the same guys that are running 20's in A-fuel cars were still running blown cars we would be seeing consistent 20's in blown cars, bottom line!!!!!!!!!

    Please Ban them.

Lets get back to really racing. Leaving at 5000-6000 rpm and having to do something during the run besides hold the brake.

I say B.S., Like my dad used to say(you must be talking through a hole in your head). Most of the guys that switched to a/fuel never came close to running 5.20's. let alone consistant 5.30's. With the rules where they are now i think 5.20's from a blown car will only happen in the most ideal weather conditions. Not at nearly every race like the a/fuel cars.

As for O'Bannon not hurting parts, he blew the motor in the semis having to replace an entire motor leading to a small part malfunction in the final. I liked the finish, but would have liked to see a race (with the same outcome).

The part that broke on the O'Bannon car in the final was the quill shaft for the blower it had nothing to do with the motor swap. Where do people come up with the idea that they were killing parts all weekend they hurt one motor and it was just a piston. It did not even hurt the heads or the block. I would also of like to of seen what would of happened in the final. My guess is that the blown car would of left first off the line and it would of been close at the other end, but this is why we dont race on paper.

I at least have my name up here afuel freak which you dont. I do have a clue obviously you dont. Bottom line is no 20s for the blower cars again and if you cant see that you prolly better get your eyes checked before you run a red light and get hurt in an accident. We may not agree on the 20s deal but I dont want to see you get in an accident that would be bad. Thanks for the compliment John we didnt get a handle on the track at chicago but overall we are making progress I just dont see many 20s coming up here for us just now.
