Dale, I have never seen or heard of a problem with either. One thing about the RCD unit is it only takes an RCD quill shaft. If you use a PSI snout then my recommendation is to use the Lenco quill shaft. Both the RCD and Lenco quill shafts are about unbreakable.

They use different pulleys with a different bolt and pin configurations. The PSI pulleys are more common but only go down to 32 while RCD will go to 30. The 32 PSI deal from RCD requires you to modify the snout or pulley.

    rcd

The rcd mini snout is the most poorly designed rcd product ive used. If you are running a clutch car with no two step it might be viable but I broke several shafts on a 100% od D rotor with air throttle most of the time.My shaft twisted and partially welded back together making the car difficult to troubleshoot and it made so much heat it melted a new belt.
I bought my snout used so I gave rcd a second chance and rebuilt the whole snout with fresh bearings. Within 10 runs it broke another quill clean.
My current blower has a psi snout with lenco quill and over 150 runs on the two step trouble free.
