I am switching to a 1471 hi-helix retro & adding port nozzles did not have them before. Mounting it on BDS comp. Manifold on a BBC how much setback is best ,going to buy or build a plate just don't know how far to go Thanks Wes

That is dependent on the length of the snout and the pulley alignment and how much room behind the blower. The usual is around four or five inches.

That's the way to do it. Put which ever snout you want and loosely put the belt on and mak sure it lines up with the idler pulley and the crank pulley

I will never use a BDS manifold and a hi-helix blower again. It has bad distribution to the ports. It is made for standard helix.Close to 30 numbers in nozzle sizes front to back. Maybe if you put the blower opening right in the middle intake opening would make it better.

PS-went to a Indy manifold and had 4 numbers different
