how much does it usually cost to have a blower restraint recertified? mine doesn't have a brand name on it and it is from 2003. what company will recert a restraint if it isn't theirs? do they just put new straps on it with new sfi tags?

    Strap my blower

(if) it is a 14.1 with removable straps, you can buy the straps only from rbs or geradot http://gerardot.com/products.html for right at 100.00. most companies charge about 100-120 plus shipping to recertify. on a 14.1 with removable straps, they really aren't certifying the plate, just the straps only. if it is a 14.2 with non removable straps, you have to send it in and get it done. some companies like dj will do a non company built one if you call and check first. usually not a big deal, a lot of companies don't put their names on the plates. ive had this problem before and thought I had to throw a out of business companies restraints away, but that's really not the case, not a big deal.

Non removable straps can still be replaced. Call goodvibes and get new straps, then have a local seamstress sew them onto your plate. I think it saves 100 bucks or so over returning yours or buying new, which were both going to be about the same price for me.

Call tony at ramjet. Hands down the best to deal with. I paid around 250 for new straps being put on for me. And they did it same day it showed up. Very nice people to deal with.
