First thing is to shake the hell out if the can before using. For a Roots blower I spray in while in the pits before we go up and in the morning before the warm up. Open the blades and spray it on both outboard sides of the rotors and turn the motor and spray again. On a screw blower according to PSI one spray in the morning helps protect a coated unit. They said it doesn't hurt to do it before every run and it will not hurt anything. Because you can't see directly in on a screw blower I spray it into the bottom of the blades while it is running during first warmup.

I run a screen under the injector hat will this stick to the screen , build up and cause a flow restriction or should i just removed the screen. I like using one to stop rocks etc from damaging the blower

Good question because I have never used a screen. In all my years I have never seen a rock go into a blower but the decision to remove it would be yours. Don't know if you could spray it correctly on the rotors with a screen in place. Maybe somebody here has used it with a screen in place and can give what they observed.

    What happens to good blowers

rocks might not always go into blowers, but when the inside bolt comes loose on a enderle and goes into the blower cracking it, and runs over your son, the crew guy, it can get a little scary. we were in the other lane, and poor chris was under the car bouncing his face off the fuel tank and having a blower belt for lunch. I was there as soon as I could, everybody stood around in shock! screens do work for some things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKE_CwKSCig im sure the fuel spray from the hat would wash the prism down into the blower. this was a alky fc with a converter in drive. the bolt fell out of the injector, got caught in the rotor, broke the case open causing a huge vacuum leak, the motor went high, the driver caught it, shoved it into neutral, the momentum took chris feet out from under him, driver shut fuel off, and killed the motor. only a few bumps and bruises on crew.

Not sure I understand what I saw in the video. Help me here. Was this an alcohol or fuel FC? He lifted the body and the engine revved up and the car moved forward. Did the body hit the throttle linkage when it was raised. Did the FC have a converter if not why did it move forward? Was this a Crowerglide? Why would a bolt coming loose cause all that to happen? Never seen a FC with a screen in it. They were all lucky. Wow
