blower belt adjustment

    how tight should i set my blower belt?running 13.9 pulleys and belt..have crank support[if that makes any differance or not]540bbc with aluminum heads..12-71 at 23.6% OD

    Tighten it so that you have appox 3/4 in slack in it midway down the straight side. Maybe a 1/2 in. Just remember ..... The alum motor will grow when it gets hot so if you start out too tight it will only get tighter.
