ok i run mud drags in the open class. i just started playing with a blower motor last year and had tons of fun. now here is what im wanting to know . i have a 12.5to 1 468 bbc with dart 345 heads that flow right at 400 at 700 lift i have brooks rods in the motor and it is a 4 bolt. i was running a 8-71 with just hat nozzles last year . we ran 58 all the way through the hat . now i went to a 10-71 hi helix with a set- back plate. i only ran it twice last year and it did make a big difference in the way the motor ran . no i went and put port nozzles on it with enderle telling me to put 50 s in the hat and starting at the front go 42 on number one and 43 on number two then go back with 44 s 46 s 48 s to the back of the motor they have the poppet on the port nozzles coming on or in at 18 psi is this right? also i had a guy tell me to go from the back to the front on the hat nozzles the the reverse way he said the front will load up on fuel at idle with a hi-helix blower and then reverse on throttle?sound right.

fasttimes,18 lbs is a good starting point for the port check,a high helix blower has a pie shaped opening in the front of the blower, the setback plate helps even the pressure going into the intake ports, but cyl#1 and 2 will still get more air than the rest, for this reason you need to put more fuel in those 2 cylinders.check back with jim at enderle,i am sure he wants the bigger nozzels in no 1 and 2 and work your way down goint to rear cylinders.remember this,at idle you are not running on the port nozzels, only on the hat nozzels until 18 lbs pressure,or app 2000 rpm,and at that rpm,you are still at vaccume,or very low boost, depending on how much overdrive on blower.also with your compression ratio, start with low overdrive and keep it fat, slowely bring the overdrive up,hope this helps.
