I have three in service now for BBC. The stroke is 4.25". Two of the applications are blown--one 496 with an 8-71 straight in a dragster and one 540 with a 14-71 HH in a minirod puller. The other is a 496 NA on alcohol in a minirod puller. The NA is two year's old. The 540 has one season of pulling (probably 20 or so passes--remembr these are 12 to 15 seconds WOT). The 496 only has start up time. Knock on a big piece of wood, no problems yet. Stan and his staff are really good people to work with and no this is not a paid advertisement, just my experience.
