Does anyone have any experience with the Enderle Big and Ugly hat on the dyno vs a cardon fiber hat? I have not seen anything on how good the performance is on the hat. Looking for the durablitiy, but I don't want to change ours out if it means a big hit in HP.

    Thanks

What hat do you have now? What carbon fiber hat are you talking about?

I think testing it is the only way you will find out ,it depends on the set up and your car I know a guy that put a big&ugly on a smallblock dragster and slowed down from his bird catcher that was lower than the cage and i also know a guy that took a mag buzzard with tall spacer off his promod put on a bug & ugly and gained so who knows?
as far as dyno tests go; I havent seen a dyno that travels 200mph yet.

    just my opinion

That four hole JBR is a great hat. One of the things that can be done to improve it is to add a custom CNC spacer from Darren Mayer see http://www.dmpeinc.com This will match your hat to the blower inlet and make for better flow. It is better and cheaper than changing the hat.

Kent Enderle and I were talking on the phone, before he had the B&U. He hadn't named it yet. And he was talking about how some motor/car combinations liked the small butterflys and some the big ones. That's part of why he was thinking of making the butterfly section of the hat bolt on, so you could change the size easier/cheaper.

I think the earlier posts are nuts on, you're gonna have to try it for yourself.
I've tried modified Birdcatchers on the dyno that I was sure would make an increase and they didn't help or hurt.
