Big thanks to Dennis Piranio and Jimmy Hildago (Country Dog)

Just want to give a big thanks on behalf of Main & Martinets Racing to Dennis Piranio of Performance Engines, Inc., and Jimmy Hildago (Country Dog Stock Elim.) for assisting us in our valve problem Saturday night. Long story short a certain local shop took it upon themselves to cut our valve seats at a different valve angle without notifying us prior. We had a few valves cut to this new angle, but not enough to complete a set of heads. We had some valvetrain problems Saturday night and needed to replace the valves. We were in quite a bind with our spare heads cut to a different angle and not enough hardware to assemble them.

After talking to some people in the pits, we were hooked up with local racer Jimmy Hildago, who had just purchased some machining equipment. He told me I needed to bring someone to operate it and that's where Dennis Piranio, crew chief for Burl Brown stepped in and went along. After some patience getting the machine tooled properly, Dennis did an excellent job refacing the new valve angle valves back to the original angle.

Both of these racers went out of their way to help us out, and refused to take a dime for their services. If there's any way we can ever repay the favor, just let us know!
