    Hi,
Who has the best clutch pedal kit for a TA/FC?

I don't like the one we have for several reasons.

I would also like to know how stiff the pedal should feel, ours is pretty stiff.

    Thanks!

    Clutch pedal kit

S & W Racecars make one, and also mckinny Corp, check out their Web sites, I used a S&W pedal (Chassis is also A S&W Kit) I modified it so that the Pedals can shift on some rails/brackets brought from the chassis shop.

you can get a trick looking pedal kit from mckinney as for stiffness thats personnal preferrence i like for mine to have a little stiffness not so much my leg starts shaking tring to hold it down and not so soft that you cant feel it so when your trianglating your linkage if it doesnt feel good to you change it it may take a couple of times for you to get it where you like once you get it where it feels good set the air gap and your ready to go if you just hang it off the can its probably going to be way to stiff i bought a new tit can once that had the pedal hung off of it went to a national event tring to stage i couldnt hold the pedal down tring to stage even pushing on my leg with my left hand and holding the brake with my right hand guess what no hand on the wheel kind a hairy

    Something to keep in mind...

When it comes to these pedal kits, the less tie rod length you're exposing to pressure, the better.

    Clutch Pedal stiffness

There are several factors that affect clutch pedal stiffness. First of all is Geometry. My clutch linkage has more than one position for mounting the tierod. The stiffness changes as the leverage changes. Another factor is Static Spring Load. If you have five turns on your static setting the clutch will be a lot stiffer than if you only had two turns. Another factor is the amount of counterwieght and the staging RPM. With enough counterweight and staging RPM the clutch will really get tough to keep down. Dave Germain
