Kobelco K-11 Superman Or a PSI High Helix would be my choice. Both of those companies lead the field in Rootes blower technology.

I think all the latest roots blowers are good, you certainly can run great with anyone of them. most of the later rotor designs seal very well. Our 4 year old k-8 Mert is still getting the job done!

JP are you planning on running IHRA AFC? we certainly need more cars!

    Blowers

JP MOST ALL THE BLOWERS RIGHT NOW ON THE MARKET ARE GOOD AND THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT PRO AND CONS
THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK IS THE LITTLEFIELD WITH KOBELCO K-11 ROTORS 4800.00 IT CAN BE MODIFIED TO PICK UP A LITTLE MORE BOOST IF NEEDED.
KOBELCO K-11 SUPERMAN GREAT CHOICE A LITTLE MORE SPENDY 7000.00 GOOD BLOWER WITH COOL MANIFOLD TEMPS
SSI CAN BE HARD TO GET AND CLOSE TO 6800.00 THIS CAN BE HAD IN MAG OR ALUM FOR LIGHTWEIGHT BUT THE BLOWER WILL BE MORE STABLE IN A ALUM. CASE.
PSI FROM WHAT THE CRITICS AND USERS SAY IT IS A VERY GOOD PIECE I THINK IT IS 8900.00 AND NOT SURE BUT I THINK IT IS AVAILABLE IN MAG OR ALUM AND IS DUAL GEAR. THERE ARE OPTIONS BETWEEN ALL THESE BLOWERS BUT IT PRETTY MUCH COMES DOWN TO SPEED COSTS AND I WOULD SAY IF THE BUDGET AFFORDS THE STOUTEST BLOWER GET IT BUT IF BUDGET IS DOWN YOU CAN GET INTO A NICE USED K-8 K-9 ROTORED LITTLEFIELD FOR 3500.00 OR A USED SUPERMAN FOR 4500.00 TO 5500.00 GOOD LUCK AND IF YOU NEED ANY HELP EMAIL OR CALL 530-292-3368 OR CHECK US OUT ONLINE AT WWW.RBSSUPERCHARGERS.COM

Anyone care to mention the modifications if any , that are being done to increase the output of these superchargers . Such as inlet length or shape . You can bet the pro mod guys are doing something to get those heavy cars to run mid 230's at 2700 lbs and 20% over .

We have 2 modified Kobelco's from a very well known Canadian RnD/tuner. The mods on these blowers are pretty involved. In other words, when you compare the same blower before and after, their nothing alike. We picked up 3 pounds of boost on the 2-step and 5.5lbs at the top of high gear. The outlet temp were within 3 degrees, BUT the fuel distribution changed quite a bit. Our tests wre done over a 4 day test session last week.

On the Kobelco the "Superman" designation means that a new bearing plate has been installed in front to set the standard 14" rotors back in the new longer case by 2 inches. This means that you can get legal blower setback without the blower actually being set back. I believe the front of the pulley flange to the front of the rotors measures right around 11". The K-11 also has a larger inside diameter so it can push more CFM and the best rotor profile that Kobelco has designed to date. The other thing that xcan be done is to send the K-11 Superman to Darren Meyer (also works for Kobelco) and Jon Salemi for $800 worth of mods which will give you another 125 hp.

Another big advantages of the K-11 Superman is the 3-5 psi increase of boost at the hit of the throttle than other blowers.
