Bell housing to Crank CL index/ Runout

I know this has been discussed previously. Unable to locate the old thread.
Sent my Bell to Browell to check they say the bell is fine. I built Offset dowels and I can get it within .016... Browell says .010. I would like .001 but it is not going to happen. Seems like someone said .020 on this topic some time back. Have any of you guys ran a clutch car with .015 to .020 and been ok?
