We are running BAE Stage 5 Heads with BAE 5 rockers. The number 2 intake rocker adjuster keeps being beat up against the push rod cup area. It's the only one and it has happen twice. It appears to be hot, but we are thinking the heat is coming from it beating against the push rod. The push rod does not come out bent, just beat up in the cup area. We discover this because ever time we went to adjust the lash, it was off.

Anyone seen this happen over and over to just one rocker?

Could we have a weak spring that is causing this?

Sounds like the adjuster is to far back in the rocker arm and the edge of the cup is hitting the rocker arm before the adjuster and push rod mates.

Make sure your valve spring is not coil binding

Thanks all for the ideas. This weekend we took the rocker arm off and made sure the oiling hole was not pluged. Also, we had a spare rocker and it's oiling hole was larger, so we put it on. Two passes later and no issues. We will keep our fingers crossed that it was an oiling issue that is now fix.

    Thanks Again.

    On our BBC's...
Once upon a time I found that one of our lifters didn't have all the oiling holes drilled, I had already ran it and didn't have issues (which is hard to believe!)
