Here's a plan for you guys in TA/FC----TA/D, form an organization, get a $hit load of you guys together at a track that you can rent, make a deal with the owner that you get 1/2 the gate, and 1/2 the consessesion stand's take, hire your own crew to run the event, advertise the event, see if you can get a 16 car field in each class or even 32 car field's, if this works out then maybe the rest of the tracks will take note and do some advertising. Or it wont work and you will see for yourself's what it takes to run a show, and how much it cost. what do you guys think???;)

    hmmm... running a race...

While having a race like that sounds really fun, I don't know if there will be legal (mainly insurance) issues to stop us from hiring the crew to manage the track. Im sure both sides would learn a thing or two though. I fully support advertising all races though, and not JUST national events. If local radio or TV stations could be used for a period before the race I'm sure turnouts would improve. One thing we're not the best at is getting NEW people to come to the races. Usually its people that have known/loved drag racing for years that attend the divisional/bracket races. Why dont we contact the local ABC or NBC stations and do a short video that can show the typical American what sportsman drag racing is like. Im sure you could catch a few eyes by showing them the awesome power of an alcohol race on TV. Has anyone ever tried that? I know I've never seen one in Florida, and we have a lot of tracks around us that could really benefit from it.
