Team Patron looking to make a move in the points

Dallas, TX – Alexis De Joria and the Patron Tequila sponsored Top Alcohol Funny Car Team have made an unbelievable mid-season comeback and now are focusing their efforts on moving up in the championship points chase during the upcoming 24th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Fall Nationals Presented by Super Start Batteries.

With their return to action at the recent Mac Tools U.S. Nationals Presented by Lucas Oil over the Labor Day weekend, the Patron Tequila team has regained consistency and look to gain some late season momentum in their quest to finish in the top 10 in championship points. “Qualifying well and going rounds at Indy helped the team get back into race mode; we have since raced at a division two event in Georgia” said De Joria. “With Dallas being an all concrete track we plan to throw as much power at it as possible and see if we can get back into the 5.50 zone again”. Nick Bastiao and Bob Newberry have the guys working together well since the Englishtown incident and we hope that Dallas will be our turning point as far as performance goes”.

“I feel good about our chances to move up in the points De Joria said, the Texas Motorplex has been good to our Crew Chief Bob Newberry in the past and our game plan is to turn up the power and turn on the win lights”.
