alcohol

    will alcohol go bad sitting in a sealed drum over the winter is there an additive that you can put in to strenten it i dont have to go through a fuel check

    You should run a top lube (Klotz is usually accepted as the best). in a steel sealed drum, it'll live a long time.

    It will last longer if you keep the bottom of the drum off the floor enough to let air circulate. Even a 2X4 under one side will help stave off condensation.

    methonal does not go bad sitting in a sealed drum over the winter. when I start selling fuel in the spring guys ask if its fresh. its not beer and does not have a born on date. and the first few drums sold are the ones in the warehouse over the winter. it doesnt get dumped on the ground in december.:rolleyes: even alcohol in my whiskey doesnt go bad over the winter. but its not in there for very long ;)
