will alcohol go bad sitting in a sealed drum over the winter is there an additive that you can put in to strenten it i dont have to go through a fuel check

 

You should run a top lube (Klotz is usually accepted as the best). in a steel sealed drum, it'll live a long time.

 

It will last longer if you keep the bottom of the drum off the floor enough to let air circulate. Even a 2X4 under one side will help stave off condensation.

 

methonal does not go bad sitting in a sealed drum over the winter. when I start selling fuel in the spring guys ask if its fresh. its not beer and does not have a born on date. and the first few drums sold are the ones in the warehouse over the winter. it doesnt get dumped on the ground in december. even alcohol in my whiskey doesnt go bad over the winter. but its not in there for very long
