alcohol racer movie stars

    this just in:
    alcohol racer tate branch will be in a new movie called 'the legend of bugger red,' a western written by former alcohol funny car driver grady bryant. when bryant sold the movie rights, reportedly one of the stipulations was that drag racers be cast as players. bryant will play the main part, branch will play a bartender, and nitro racers ron capps and tommy johnson jr will be 'outlaws'. it apparently will be a network movie and part of the proceeds will go to draw and rfc.

    thats the scoop i have.

    Hey guys.
    Now that race stars are movie stars tell me what movies are there out there besides heart like a wheel that depict drag racing life or such stories.

    Shelly Howard is also in the movie as well....NHRA had a story up about all the parts that they are playing.....they also had some pictures from the set to go along with it.....

    not quite the same but... our rear engine funny car is featured in a music video called "change the world" and we intend to, video was shot minus the body (at the directors request) but we run a 1998 vette body, convertible, we are looking for a legal body for alky funny for the 2005 season
