For those who have built an air shield/diverter in an old style Enderle Buzzard hat. Can you tell me what you are using for epoxy/resin ? I have a coated Magnesium hat. what epoxy will stick and is alky proof ? Is it possible to use Fiberglass resin products?
    email rusty@kramermetalfab.com

    Thanks in advance.

I would weld it in. If the epoxy comes loose without the screen in place boom

    Screws

Make it out of aluminum , Thicker up at the top and screw threw the top of the injector 10 24 screws . Stitch Welds always crack, ESP mag.Welding will warp the injector.

    Thanks Guys

I have an aluminum plate made aready and was thinking the screw route, Just wondering about blending in with some epoxy to make the transisions smoother and fill it the gaps between the aluminum plate and the injector.

If this was an aluminum hat and not freshly coated mag I would consider welding in a plate.

    Thanks for your input guys.

Mike Spitzer did a carbon piece for us like what you're describing. It was screwed in at several points and then he used black silicone around the perimiter. We ran it like that for years and never had an issue.

Never thought about silicone for this application.

    Thanks Brandon,
