air chut button

my old car had spring launchers
my new car has air launchers
what kind of a electric switch would you use
im scared i will bump it accidently and be screwed that run
i can still just push the lever

I assume that your are asking about how to activate the chute release lever? We had an electric/air switch that was plumbed to a cylinder that moved the chute lever.....never failed on a run, but in the shop one day the electric switch quit working....I would not use any electric control for this....will probably fail eventually due to shake and vibration....so if ya want to release the chutes with a button, just plumb it with air. As far as charging the air launchers, we have an air switch mounted on the body next to the chute packs that we activate on the starting line when we fire the car.
