Ahten Brewing Up Something Special for Pomona

Ahten 36.jpg Pomona, Ca – Johnny Ahten’s Nitromethane injected Top Alcohol Dragster has gained a few pounds over the long winters break. The car is now a few ounces heaver with the addition of some new stickers. Johnny, a Fire Department Captain, is proud to announce that he has added Fireman’s Brew as a promotional partner. Fireman’s Brew is a Brewing company created by two California Firefighters after battling a brushfire.

“I’m so excited to be working with Fireman’s Brew this weekend,” said Ahten. “Pomona has a real sense of family with all the fellow firefighters that come out for the race.”

After the racing is finished for the day, thirsty race fans will have Fireman’s Brew on their minds. It might be a Blonde (Pilsner style lager), or a Redhead (Amber Ale), or even a Brunette (Traditional German Style Double bock). One thing is for sure, there will be a few bottles picked up at Ralphs or Cost Plus by fans on their way home from Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Beer isn’t the only thing Johnny Ahten has been brewing up during the offseason. 801 Racing have come aboard as an associate sponsor and it added another sticker to the side of the dragster. 801Racing’s Revvolution Oil with CleanBoost Technology will assure crew chief Al Ahten can tune the car up and make the field take notice.

“The car likes Pomona,” added Johnny Ahten. “Our career best here is a 5.25, and Pomona never scares me.”

The Ahten Racing Team have a stick to it plan for the race, and the track. The expected cooler conditions play right into their strengths. Considered their home track, Ahten and the team are looking to start the 2012 NHRA season out the right way. There’s something brewing at Pomona, and Johnny Ahten, Fireman’s Brew, and 801 Racing Oil are the cause of it.

Fireman's Brew grew out of their vision to create premium ales and lagers that would quench their thirst after an exhausting day on the fire line. Originally created by firefighters for firefighters, Fireman's Brew is now available in both bottles and kegs for retail and on-premise sales. Visit them at www.firemansbrew.com/
