Our nostalgia project just hit a snag tonight. The old truck tall deck block has a cracked cylinder wall. Looking for a aftermarket iron block with lugs in the valley for the extra head studs. Who has the hot set up? Dart, Merlin, GM ?

i ran merlin lite (allu) for 5 years , i had some problems in the fuel system and some burned pistons , but the cylinders stay straight , very strong bbc block. no water on it .
after 2 years i had to resurface the deck , because some sleeve went down .002-.003 . this was the only problem with it.
p/s :same thing happen to a friend with a keith black mopar.

We run 1 Big M and 1 Merlin pro all recommended by oddy. Both run low 6's.
Only problem we have is are own mistakes. One thing we did do is put the big hemi style lifters and ford jornal cam so there is no loss of horsepower from cam flex. Eather way you go should be ok.
