Acetone In Meth

There's an old story that's been forwarded many times, but we're not sure whether it's junk or not?

Some percentage of acetone mixed in with the methanol will eliminate (reduce) pre-ignition concerns with supercharged meth.

Fact or fiction?.......

I was told by a reputable source that it will do so in Nitro....but I havn't tried it (yet)!
