How do you guys have you accumulator plumbed and activated? Do you just use it as a reservoir and leave it open all the time? Do you use it to pre-lube the engine? How is it plumbed? Mine is on a Hemi and tee'd into the outlet side of the oil filter. I do not have a check valve between the pump outlet and the accumulator tee. I have a shallow oil pan and run 10 quarts in the pan and two 3 quart accumulators for a total of 16 quarts. The driver opens up the accumulator valve as he goes in to stage. It just seems that oil pressure is still falling off way before I think that it should. Thanks.

    accumulator

was told by Steve Faria to use 3 quart accum.w/o the valve and plumb directly to the oil filter out line with#10 line.
I use moroso f/c pan w/16 qt oil and 3 more for accumulator.
oil pressure guage reaction is affected by where it gets fed from. there is a lot of bleed off between the pump and the guage if you tap it at the top of the cam line.
I also wonder if using 2 units is hurting you.maybe the pump is so busy maintaining the accumulators that they can't keep the pressure up.it might be emptying the pan trying to maintain them.
