about rules

    I went racing today in Napierville, Québec we had to qualify 7.20 & under.
    We were 5 cars in the qualification, I was the only car that went under 7.20 and I finish my run and melt one piston. who should have win the race?
    Thank you for taking the time to answer me. I just want to know who's right?

    If he is the only guy that qualified---do the other cars become alternates and move up?
