I remember back when Joliet had a fall race, reading that sportsmen racers who were in the top 10 in national points were allowed to enter, even if entry list was full since it was one of the last few races of the year.

My ? for the alcohol categories: Indy is one of the last 3 races for the alcohol cars (with only Ennis and Pomona after).

Is this rule/guideline still in effect?

Both alcohol categories have the full 26 entries (tafc shows 27- have a ride yet Will?).

But if someone who was in the top 10 but not entered yet like Brian Hough, Tom Bayer, Jim Whiteley, etc. wanted to enter, even thought he quota is met, would they be allowed to since they are in the top 10 nationally and Indy is one of the last 3 races of the year for the alky categories?

    thanks
    Wolfgang
