About Chris from his wife

Chris asked me to post an update here. He is in Santa Rosa Memorial Trauma Center. He is still in ICU right now but hope to move him later today. They finally ruled out skull fracture this am and he has one hell of a headache and is in a cervical colla r. I hope to spring him out tomorrow. He woke up and wanted to know how bad the car was, what happened, how could he have crashed and who won. All through the sedation it seemed like he was still trying to drive. Thanks so much to everyone who prayed for him, it worked! He has a concussion and a really sore right leg and the collar but he is on the mend! I am sure he will be online again as soon as he can get his little fingers on a computer thanks again!

 

Thanks for the update. I saw Chirs a few hours before the crash up at the Hoosier trailer but didnt get a chance to talk to him. After the car I was working on crashed Saturday afternoon some of the crew guys from Chris's car came over and checked on our driver John Patton and gave word that Chris was ok. Hope to see Chris out at the track again soon, this time I will be sure to introduce myself to him finally

Thanks for the update. Great to hear Chris is gonna be ok. The Peen Rite team is a awesome bunch! all I can say is this has been one heck of a wacky first half of the season with all that has happened this year so far.

Chris and I had just got to meet while at the div. 5 race in Denver, when he and his team helped us out with an engine change for our first final round as a new team, I was so impressed how they just jumped in and gave us a hand! I was at the Sonoma Race working for Nhra and was on the starting line during his crash, and am very thankful he will recover, to come and race with us again! good luck Chris!! and see you soon.

My name is Ralph Azbill, I had the Great fortune of being able to work with Chris and the Gang in Denver. I just got back from a trip to Montana for the weekend, and of course the first thing I did was get on my computer to check the results of the race, when i didnt even see his name on the eliminations ladder, i obviously came here to ITA to see why. My heart fell to my stomach to hear about Chris's accident. Even though i had just met chris in Denver, by the time the weekend was over I felt like part of the Gang. Chris is an incredible person, I know he will pull through this quickly, but Please send him my best wishes!!!

Glad to hear he's getting better. Some of the rumors floating around at the race were much worse, so thanks for the real information, Chris hope you feel better soon...from the Rancho Framing/White Cap/Color by Woz TAFC team

I saw Chris last Friday out at the family vacation home on the Delta. He was in very good spirits despite all he has gone through. He did sustain a fracture of the Tibbia(sm bone in the back of your leg) and is wearing the Neck brace. He told me he was still a bit groggy.He was very concerned about HOW his accident happened, In my opinion Chris is a very SMART racer and the cause of this accident is troubling him, he would like to know exactly what and how this happened. All in all Chris looked very good and upbeat. Hurry back my friend.DHM
