I didn't see anything in the NHRA announcement about 8 car or 16 car fields. I am one of those lesser funded teams who generally never qualifies high in any field. I don't want to drive all the way to Vegas to race if there are 20 cars competing for 8 spots. I don't like the idea of leaning so hard just to get into the show that it uses up all my parts. There isn't enough room in my trailer or my wallet to carry three engines. Dave Germain

    Dave,
We are not a highly funded team in any means. I don't know why people think that you need a trailer full of motors to compete. I hear it so much. If your tune-up is right, you dont hurt parts. for the last two years my motor never came out of the frame rails, except durning the off season. and even if you did have the motors, do they give you enough time to change them in between rounds ? Most of the time you dont.

Just my input, and Im speaking with first hand experience.
