4-Speed In Blown PM

    Has this been tried before? Any advantage or disadvantage versus a 3-speed? Quarter mile stuff.

    The blower motor seems to work better when the motor is loaded and pulling from the around the high torque rpm to the hp peak rpm. If you use a four speed then you cannot get the rpm drop at the shift to get the motor into these rpm regions to get that loaded pull. The flame propagation from the sparkplug out around the combustion chamber also changes for the better when the blower motor is heavily loaded.
