4 magnet crank triggers vs 60-2 or similar

    Has anyone tried the normal 4 magnet (90 degrees apart) trigger wheels and compared to the later style 60-2 or similar.

    I believe your talking about efi stuff? I have FuelTech and use the 12-1 degree wheel. But you can’t use a 4 magnet one because there is no reference once engine starts turning over

    No problem with using regular 4 magnet wheel we been using them with Holley and FuelTech running individual coil ignition absolutely no issues

    It all boils down to "what" is using the signal, and how that "what" processes it. Is a 60-2 superior in some cases, yes, but not always. Is a 4/8/12 better in some cases, yes, but not always. Best to look backward from the controller side, and then ask yourself about the tooth count/profile.
