New BAE block 60mm raised cam can I squeeze a 4.250 crank in it? I know lots of guys running 4.150 stroke with no issues so I imagine another 100 thou is do able. Has anyone run this combo?

Thanks for the info in advance.

Just curious , why are you wanting such a large stroke. 4.150 has more than proven its self and is pretty much on every shelf when that oops happens!

It will fit just ends up a short rods. The rods have to have clearences for the counter weights. Everything will be custom.

Everyone else switched to the big bore stuff but I never did. I ran .100 tall blocks in my TA/FC.

We ran 5.52 in the quarter's and 5.531 in the final with 4.250 x 4.375 bore (512 cubic inch) with our very old sets of BAE 6 heads in 2012 at the Winternationals. We ran 5.55 and 5.56 in 2,200' corrected in 2004 with that combo with an old set of BAE 5's. If you remember, these were the 16 spark plug heads that had the intake push rod tubes in the intake runners. We ran steel screw in plugs in 8 of the spark plug holes to make them 8 spark plug heads.

I would have liked to have tried the new heads now available on that combo just for fun. It sure sealed up a lot better than the big bore stuff.
