NHRA Sportsman Racer Advisory Council members announced

The NHRA Sportsman Racer Advisory Council (SRAC) members have been selected following online polling. The SRAC which is entering into its third year is designed to maintain the level of communications between participants and race officials. The SRAC provides a means for discussing and evaluating rules and race policies and procedures pertaining to Sportsman racing at all NHRA events.

The advisory council consists of a driver, owner or crew chief representative from each NHRA division in five eliminator sub-committee groupings including Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car, Competition, Super Stock / Stock, Super Comp / Super Gas / Super Street and Top Dragster/Top Sportsman.

Changes in the subcommittee chairpersons have been made by SRAC Chairman Jay Hullinger. "Each of the Division Directors serve on various rule subcommittees and the changes in their role as SRAC chairpersons better align them with the groups that they also represent in their rule committees," Hullinger said.

Jonathan Adams will oversee Top Alcohol, Rob Park remains in Comp, Bob Lang will work with Super Stock/Stock, Mike Rice will serve the Super Eliminator group, Bill Holt will chair Top Dragster/Top Sportsman, and Craig Hutchinson has been named SRAC secretary.

The first meeting of the SRAC for 2010 will take place on Friday at the Gatornationals. Council members unable to attend will be connected via a conference call.
