Just bench racing a little. Any experts on std helix blowers on here? Curious what anybody had made on a Max (ish) effort blown alcohol with a standard 14-71.

I have a very early Kobelco sitting here. Looks like serial number 4. Semi delta bottom. Was small opening top but somebody machined it out. One guy said it was k8 rotors but there aren’t any lightening holes.

I have a very good hi helix sitting right next to it so please save the “get a better blower” comments.

According to Spuds calculator and internet folklore it seems a std 14 should be good to around 1700 hp at 11000 rotor rpm, but I’ve also seen comments that it will back up at 9000 rotor rpm.

Great feedback. What engine rpm? Did you ever run it at lower od?

8000 in the lights ran 33od most of the time would go 6.40s with equal air 38psi always made good boost just takes a lot of hp to do it can't tell you heat difference but am sure it was significant
