Is there something available to use to control the revs on a burnout that works with a morse cable that pushes (not pulls) the injector open? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...

you need an air on / air off throttle stop and they can work in both directions

    Throttle stop!

Tim,most people downunder here just use some type of fabricated bracket off the side of the hat with a hole in it. A piece of rod is attached to the opposite end of the arm on the cable side of the hat with a series of holes in it, and an "R" clip is placed in which ever hole gives enough RPM to
"SMOKE EM!!" The clip stops against the plate or bracket and that's it!
Pretty simple:rolleyes: but it works for us and we're Aussies:D

    Smokinboyz,

In my very limited experience start at about 3/8" of opening at the butterflies. 25% may be too much and its cheaper to add opening than to reduce it after its been to high

    How much throttle?

Bottlefed's right! It's cheaper to "back er up" for another skid than replace a set of springs or valves:eek: When we first put the throttle stop on, where the R clip was slipped in was'nt quite enough to get the RPM'S high enough for a healthy burnout so on the next pass,we simply put it in the next hole above which gained another 900 RPM from memory;)
Pretty much trial and error but start on the low side!
    Good luck:D

    I use this from WizardsWarehouse.Com

    • Burnout Limiter
    #01096
Burnout Limiter for controling RPM. connects to injector shaft arm and bottom of barrell valve pad. Just trim rod for desired RPM. When burnout is complete unclip injector arm piece

Bob auto makes a real trick one...and also REMEMBER this is not an rpm controller if you think it is and use it as tho..you will kick the rods out...Dave
