Mike - Thats what the cam is currently installed at. I called the guy i bought the engine off of years ago and he told me he used to set it up a 50* @ .050

I had an issue with a couple of intake valves just kissing the piston up on the valve relief which i had remachined. Should i advance the cam timing?

    Thanks for your help...

I used to set it at 37@ .050, on 48 or 45 deg.

I recently ran into this on a nostalgia blown nitro engine. They had 8 degrees advance on the cam. Made no sense to me to move all that torque lower then you just have to burn it all off with the clutch. Of course after 900-1000' it just hated it.

    Blessings.......Ron Clevenger.

35 to 37 at .050 works great. I can fax you the cam card if you give me a # to send it to
