ID This Blower

    Any guess's? I thought I bought a 1471 HH Retro. Any thoughts?

    not a retro. look for a serial or id number and call mert littlefield. it looks old because of how big the top opening is.

    This blower for sale fresh from littlefield...labeled hi helix retro. Explain how this one is different than mine???

    on a mert retro the pie shaped opening goes into the front gear case. a std. high helix does not. also as i said, the top opening is way big. they havent made them that big in close to 10 years. contact JR at rbs superchargers and he can explane everything in detail or as i said call mert. not saying its junk at all, it depends on what you intend to do or need to run. but it's not a retro.

    Yeah that's exactly what Mert said. I can't believe how many people out there are selling blowers labeled "retro" just because it has the delta pie front discharge opening. Lesson learned I guess. Thanks Bruce...

    Here is something I learned from TJ at SSI. There is no such thing as a SSI High Helix retro..........ya we call them that. You want to no why? TJ says the SSI invented the "retro" when they went to high helix and that is how their blowers came so they are not retros.

    no problem, i ran and had one years ago plus the only roots blowers i have ever ran are merts. him and his son brad are good people.
