Just alittle humor about me renewing my license. I accidently sent them a copy of my medical form. they called me up and told me to send the original. I told them I had. she then informed me they knew it wasnt because they "water" tested the ink  I thought she was kidding, she wasnt. glad they trust us :D

I could never understand the need for all the pomp and circumstance with regards to the license forms. I have done the same thing, accidentally sent in the copy instead of the original, and the problem is that by the time you find out what is wrong, your license is already expired. Add the time lost by getting the second form lost in the mail (which happened to us last year), and you're really under the gun. I think a quick phone call from NHRA if there is a problem with the form would help a lot.

Since we moved from So Cal, Any correspondence that I have with NHRA which includes license, membership, stuff like that, I Always do either Certified, Return Receipt Requested with Signature upon Delivery if using the mail service. Or Fed Ex, Signatured Required.

That way there isn't any shuffling of whose desk it may be on, or that person is on vacation, etc. We had to do this at Disney on a regular basis because there were so many business units that it was so easy for stuff to be "misplaced".

When you, as the racer, take the responsibility back in your own hands, then it goes back to the responsibility of the person who signed for it and you have proof to fax over the information if need be with all the time and date stamps for verification.

Leaves very little doubt for any problems and seems to keep motivation on the up and up. Just my experience of what has worked for us.

    Liscense

Yikes, Sounds like I'm in for it when I try to get my first NHRA liscense. I might just want to cut my finger and leave a bloody set of finger prints on mine and attach dental records.....hmm..

I had some issues with my medical paper work just recently, the doctor filled out the check boxes wrong but passed me as healthy(I hope so I am only 20!). I had already sent in all my paper work when NHRA informed me I had some problems with my medical form and that I needed my doctor to fill out the sheet again and resubmit the form. The day after I resent my medical papers a license card showed up. Not thinking anything about it I went on my way. About a week later I received a second license card!!:D Unfortunately they expire on the same date...::p
