Plug Question / Suggestion

    I run a stack injected altered BBC runs mid 8's, currently running # 9 NKG plugs..The plugs are pretty white when pulled, would anyone suggest to go to a hotter / colder ? or keep the # 9's ? and If I fatten it up a bit what plug would be suggested ?

    I have a stack injected BBC on alky fat fat tune ran 8.64.@151.00 1800lbs
    you want to run NGK #8 cut the seal ring off if using after market heads.
    I will run low 8`s later this summer

    Not running after maket heads, Steel Chev which uses the tapered seat..But you think I should change to a # 8 ?

    What do you mean plugs are pretty white ????
    on the threads,..or the porcelin is still new looking ???

    Yes porcelin lookin almost new, running really clean ...looking at fatten it up a bit, but wanted to see if a hotter or colder plug would be needed

    Do you have a egt/ exh temp gauge ??? what does it say
    If they are looking new that says its too fat, and would need to take more fuel away....but then again if you are to lean it may not want to show any heat also. Have you seen any marks on the ground strap, if so were is it ??
    What injection set up do you have ??,.pump size /nozzle size/2nd by pass
    Main jet/ High speed yes/no.

    What does the blue line "timing line?" look like on the NGK 6061-10 where the ground strap isn't turned?
