blower snout

    hi..i just traded for a 12-71 mooneyham blower that i'll be putting on a #8027 bds intake on my 540bbc.running a crank hub with a single groove pulley[to drive a alternator]between hub and blower pulley;;could someone tell me how long a snout i'll need to look for[used]don't have engine togeather yet so can't measure..hoping someone would have same combo so i can start looking.

    Better put it together first or you will be buying a second one. Same for spacers at the crank and belt tensioner. The shorter the better.

    Dimentions

    I think there is enough distance between front seal and back of the bottom sprocket to put a 3/8 v pulley. But there are many different case, cover and bearing plate dimentions. Use a straight edge across the crank sprocket. then measure from the blower cover to the straight edge and subtract 3/4 inch.
