Need the woodruff key on the mag drive?

I'm curious, can't you just get these at the hardware store ?

 

Not around here, all we have is Lowes, and we all know, they dont have hardware!! I can get plenty of Light Bulbs, Trash bags, and Lawn Furniture though.

 

Ok, I guess I'm spoiled in this neck of the woods !

 

You have to be careful about the ones at the hardware. They are sometimes "punched" out and are not "hardened" properly. They work good in lawn mower shafts to keep the blade in time but not good for a lot of horsepower.

I know, ............. I put the el cheapos in my crank hub. No need to guess what happened on the "hit" at the line!

The engine was trying to "give her hell" but the blower was only turning about 5 RPM!
