Im looking for an alloy 9" diff center to replace a nodular iron unit.
would appreciate any advise or recomendations on which units are best? or best value for money?
    Moser?
    Mark williams?
    Strange?
any other alloy centers out there?

what do you guys recomend for an 1800lb, 6.20ET dragster that only races 2 or 3 meetings a year.

all those people make good stuff, but i would talk to Mark Williams, very nice stuff. we have had the same center section in our car for 11 years, still looks brand new. great people to deal with if you ever need any tech info as well.
    hope this helps

Also watch out for some of the older stuff, they will not take a 40 spline spool or 9.5 gear.

Make sure the center section is of the thru-bolt design, that is, the cap bolts/studs goes thru the front of the center section for added strength.

    Strange PRF series

Nice unit, bolt-through, and will take 9.5 gears. Strange stuff tends to be a bit cheaper than MW, but it's definitely of good quality. Strange and MW 40-spline are the same, so you can mix-n-match the spools, axles and driveplates.

Hint; They build them to order, so ask them to fit a pick-up collar (for driveshaft RPM) during the build. You can't get it past the coupler once the pinion is assembled, and they loctite the pinion nut during assembly, so it's a B!%^&*h to get the nut undone...

Call Ray at Western Suburbs Diff and Gearbox in Brisbane 07 3376 1827, he sells the Mike Dennis billet centres, you will only ever need one.
