Just wondering if the guys with data loggers could tell what sort of air temp in the manifold would be in relation to the amount of boost, & rpm. At what temp is too hot for any gain? Can the air temp be used to let you know if the condition of the blower is falling off?

Are we talking a Rootes blower here? I think on a Rootes that anything above 130* is too hot.

Yes Mike we are talking a rootes blower. Trying to find out the relation between boost pressure & temperature & how air temp can be used to determine blower condition.

Id like to see what guys are at as far as inlet temp. And where its located in the manifold. Or the port itself.

Were at 89-90, with 72 degree air temp. With the sensor in the back of the manifold.

The temperature difference between a sensor in the front and one in the back is 8-10*

I presume it will read cooler towards the rear on a roots blower, since the outlet is up front, correct Mike?
