Quick question. What are most of the screw blown big RPM teams running for piston pins? 1.094 or 1.156? Preferred source? Thanks.

We run the 1.094 in the Funny car and pro mod. Cant reccommend the best brand but run a fairly heavy tool steel pin and check regulary if you are turning hard.

    pins

If you don,t have a perfect tune-up run the 1.156. Heavy but that is the way it is. You should be able to run a shorter one since the alky rods are narrower and the piston pin bosses are wider. Somewhere in the 300 + grams I would think. My 1.156 x 3.30 pins are 329 grams. I also have a set that is 348 grams. from a Top Fuel car. But they are all from my A-Fuel stuff. You will have to get the correct buttons for the length of pin you use. And like anything else they are pricey.. Hope this give you a little info you can use. Good luck Don
